Good luck. I had cataract surgery 2 years ago and I have zero regrets! My vision at 64 is better than it was at 16. Recovery was pretty easy…uncomfortable day of and the day after but not bad after that. Use some good drops to keep your eyes moist after recovery and you’ll love it!

Unfortunately, there’s a high probability I won’t make it “on stage” tonight. Should have admitted to myself earlier that the song I chose wasn’t going to be ready in time and gone for another simpler choice. Didn’t do that and I’m about to leave for an all day woodworking workshop around the M25. I’ll join the audience tonight but have to forget taking my slot I’m afraid.

Sorry to you take a rain check John. There’s a lot to be said for just having a go anyway and playing as best you can, but easier said than done 
I’ve probably done as much useful practice as I can, as it really depends on whether Chris’s fiddle playing throws me off or not, and we won’t find out till this evening.
Looking forward to seeing/hearing you all again/
