Performers
There are fifteen performer slots available with an opportunity to play one or two songs. Please state your wish to be considered for a slot in a reply to this topic and tag (using the @ symbol) richard_close2u. Remember to state your location & UTC time zone.
Performer slots are not allocated on a first-come first-served basis but there is a deadline.
Performer slots are available according to the following criteria.
We ask that performers be actively engaged members who embody the positive and supportive pay-it-forward ethos we have long nurtured within the Community.
We ask that performers have made an Introductory topic, ideally including some information about their learning path with JustinGuitar.
We ask that performers have shared recent audio-video of their playing in the Community Recordings section.*
We ask that performers have previously attended Open Mics as an audience member.
The performer application window closes Saturday 24th August @ 1900 UTC (3 weeks before the show) after which a final list of performers will be published. If the number of potential performers exceeds our limit we may need to disappoint some people - although regular performers often express their willingness to step aside and allow newer performers their chance. We do try to give all who express an interest the opportunity to perform.

Some helpful links, especially for performers:
I would like to throw my hat in as performer again (Germany/UTC + 2) for 1 or 2 songs, as time permits. But I need to put a little disclaimer to it to be fair: I might need to step back on very short notice, as the OM is just 1 month before my pregnancy due date, so if something unforseen happens… you know.
If this is too much of an uncertainty, I’m happy to step aside and take a seat in the audience instead. Thank you.
Audience please, Richard. So far behind with BLIM, after just one month, because of practicing for the last OM it’ll be a long while before I attempt another.
Im saving the date in the calendar, put me down as a performer for 1 lenghty song! Just need to refresh my laptop and all should be well UTC+1 @Richard_close2u
Aaa Toby @TheMadman_tobyjenner I have figured out where my mistake was with the time last Open mic … on a platform with 3 times something must go wrong … Amsterdam time here … Justin and the team uses BST in the mail for the Blim and here we use UTC
… I will probably make it wrong again,
Greetings
And there I was thinking that using UTC for so long now made it clear and simple. You just got to know your time difference to UTC and how that may change with clocks going backwards and forwards.
And that is great for me because I know it is 9pm local time, every time. At least until we have a surge in uptake from people out east and schedule to be convenient for them. Yes, I know, I will never let it go that I’d like to see OMs scheduled so JK doesn’t have to join at 5am on Sunday morning.
