Hoi Jordy,
Welkom hier and I wish you a lot of fun :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

In any case, you start with the best online teacher and with a beautiful guitar, all you have to do now is regularly pick up that guitar in your hands and take the course… sounds easy, right? :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Hi Jordy

Welcome to the community. I hope you have fun on your guitar learning journey. Make good use of the community forum. It’s a great place to exchange ideas and get friendly advice and support.

As Rogier says, just need to now pick up and play that beautiful guitar.

That is good to read ,a little later, when the calluses have formed a bit well and the strength in the hands is sufficient, it is still good to study the guitar for 5 days and if you feel like it, not to “study” for those 2 free days but " just" to play the songs that you have learned (wich is so so so good -important -funny to do )… apparently the brain needs rest 2 days or so to then store fresh new things again.

Greetings and see you arround :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Nice to meet you Jordy, so here you are and here you should stay it is a great place to be cheers Hec

Welcome to the forum Jordy

I see good times in your future—welcome!

Hello Jordy & Welcome!!!

Good to see that you have a stand already for your gorgeous Epiphone!!! I love to keep my guitar out so I can pick it up and play for a few minutes while I’m waiting for something… coffee to finish, my wife to be ready to go out… just those 5-10 minutes really add up & help to keep things “fresh”!!!
Also, the color of your Les Paul is really beautiful! Have lots of fun!!! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Welcome to the community Jordy and happy NGD three days late!

Hi Jordy, welcome to the community forum. If you are using the JG Beginner Book, you might like to know that Stages ! To 3 is Grade 1 which is Modules 1 to 7 in the website Grade 1 lessons. I hope you have a lot of fun with your guitar.

Welcome, Jordy. Nice guitar.

Hello Jordy. I hope you and your new guitar spend many hundreds and thousands of happy hours in each others loving embrace.

We are a supportive and encouraging group of students and guitarists from across the world. Essentially, we are all here for music and to improve as players. We truly are a ‘community’. Members help and support one another and a friendly, positive attitude underpins this. If you want to record yourself to show your progress and / or seek feedback there is our ever popular Community Recordings section.

Behind the scenes there is a small and dedicated team who work to make the JustinGuitar experience as good as it can be. Check out the Onboarding sessions provided by Fanny. Justin also has a small group of Approved Teachers he recommends for people wanting 1-to-1 lessons to supplement his courses.

That is plenty to be going on with. It is a vast community space so if you need help as you find your way around just ask.

Hello Jordy.

(Welkom hier en wat een start zeg.) Welcome here and what a start you made. Great!

Remember, it’s not a sprint, it’s a marathon.
Practice regularly and thoughtfully.

Justin’s practice routines are really helpfull. Use them.

The main goal is to have fun while playing / practicing.

Don’t be too bothered if there’s something not working out yet. (Believe me, it will. )
As with everything guitar related: start slowly. Speed will come later.
A good foundation will let you play faster licks, runs, whatever, better.

Need advice, having problems, got a question about your guitar or other?

Let us know. You’ve came to the right place!
