Another good song, well performed. When you’re singing, the drum track seems quite high in the mix and sometimes seems slightly out of sync, e.g. c. 3:30 - 4:00: the strange things is, when you’re playing the licks - very well played too! - the mix and the pattern sound fine. As ever Byron, a fine rendition.

Thanks man! I may need to try to re-tweak it some. I appreciate the listen!

Love that song, and you did a nice job with it. Agree the drum track gets a little out of sync in a few places, that’s always tricky to pull off.

Now that you have the drum track recorded, you might try re-recording the guitar and vocals by playing along with the drums (if your set up allows you to do that easily). That could help keep it all together.

Still a really good performance though.

Thanks man! I always record the drums last lol. I know thats a bad habit. Ill probably take the drums out and re-record them again. I do it manually so its pretty tough! Thanks again for the listen!!

Updated with an original!!

Enjoyed both performances. Your mix on your original is one of the best balanced I’ve heard you do. How did you create that ‘lead’ guitar sound? Your version of ‘Superman’ is very good too: you could try relaxing the vocal a little, letting your voice wrap around the accompaniment rather than being so on the beat. The range of songs you tackle and the quality of your output is marvellous.

Hey thanks man!

On my original, I used a amp sim called plexiton crunch in one of my ableton live plugins. Then i added some delay to it! Thanks man! Ive been tinkering alot with mixing and such. Maybe im getting better at it lol not sure haha, I didnt know til you mentioned it, thanks again that helps!

As for Superman, i did a cover of it on soundcloud prolly like 9 or so years ago if not more and wanted to re-record it on video. Thanks for the tip! Ill keep that in mind, I know its not perfect some glitches here and there and such. I love that song so wanted to do it again!

Thanks again for your feedback @beejay56 I really appreciate it! I do try to make my stuff as good as I can, even though i know i do kinda rush through the process kinda quickly and make mistakes lol. I cant believe i have like over 300 or so videos now on youtube insane lmao.

Nice! I love the Five For Foghting song - i first came across it watching Scrubs (there were some great soundtrsongs on Scrubs).

Sweet! Thanks man! Cant say i have ever heard of scrubs!
