Updated with a new version of Miss You, Kinda made it my own this time and wanted to do it differently

Hi Byron,

Great to see you as it’s been a while. You’re getting better and better over the years. Love the rhythm and melody.great song!:musical_note:

What kind of Taylor do you have? I have a 414CE and just bought a Martin GPC16E that feels similar so far. Great song and love the added effects. Any suggestions in getting started on using a pedal of other effects? Something I’ve been wanting to dabble in now that I’ve been playing on stage.

Yeah man! Good to hear from ya! Cool your up and playing on stage now! Thats awesome!

I believe its 214ce but i fell in love with it when i first picked it up. Before that i got a Martin of similar price but glad i took it back and got the Taylor.

Im not really familiar with pedals so could not help you there, although i have dabbled with loopers and such and one pedal that did a little bit of everything, cant recall what it was though. :frowning:

What type effects you looking for? Theres pedals out there for about anything.

But yeah thanks man! Appreciate the feedback!

Updated with one of my favorite songs of all time!

Like this version of Bittersweet Symphony: confident, engaging performance. And the bit at the end - barking! Loved it!

Thanks man! Took me a few takes to where i wanted it but my voice did crack a little in one spot, I almost wanted to redo it because of that but its the imperfections that makes us human! So i left it in there lol. Yeah thats Oakley, shoulda named her trouble, shes chewed a prescription pair of glasses, my shoes, eats my others dogs poop as its coming out fresh from her LOL. That was a bit ago, shes doing better, shes around a year old, guess its just the pup, but shes my little Oakajoke!

Great tunes, great playing, gorgeous dug, gorgeous guitar.

Thanks man!

Hey Byron,

haha, thanks for the compliment!

sorry I haven’t listened to enough of the shared audio here lately! I really love the category, but somehow my head’s been elsewhere.

As you’re asking especially for the mix - it’s not my favourite with such a lot of reverb, to me it feels like in being in a really big undampened place, … BUT … sound and singing and playing is great, that’s what counts much more so in the end that reverb isn’t taking away from it (in my humble opinion).
If you’re interested and share the dry file/-s, I’d try to mix it differently and send it back, but like I said, I find your rendition great anyway!

PS - I don’t know if I heard the song before maybe not… Hey, I don’t hear any of missing or extra beats, (what I criticized a few times because you did this repeatedly in other songs a few times) it sounds all as it should and the second guitar is a great addition.

Good recording Byron

@Bytron08 - 2 great songs Byron - especially likeed your Bittersweet cover

Loved both recordings Byron! Cute dog too!

Thanks man!

Just updated the thread!

Haha! No. please don’t

But I told you that here in the forum, I think that most people would probably prefer the more raw and natural version, as in hearing you unfiltered.
I did this version more for the fun of it (and learning), as an extra while I was thinking you’d post the “natural” version, or even both.

Anyway, I’ll repeat myself - well played, steady timing, nice singing!

Lol thanks dom!

@domi7 Calling you again! I want your opinion on my mix of Free Fallin this time around, I skipped out on the reverb this time. Its at the very top of this thread!
