Justin Guitar App

What’s up ya’ll! I want to get some feedback about the App. I am learning from the website & kind of short on cash and wanted to know if having the APP in conjunction with the website tutorials makes it so much better?

Or is just having the website good enough to get some solid learning.

Does the APP just make it easier to learn? Faster?

I would love to hear your experience & thoughts. Happy holiday!

Thanks

Hi Maya,

Yes.

Also Yes.

I think that using just the website… playing regularly & with focus while following Justin’s lessons will get you to be a guitar player with a lot of solid skills.

The App, to me is a tool to keep the fun in learning! I love the “guitar karaoke” aspect… the items under the Learning tab are useful… there’s a strumming helper series of tutorials… Generally, it’s an “unnecessary” but fun, useful tool!

I think Musopia is having a Black Friday sale for 1st time users right now… if you’re interested, this may be a good time to go for it!

Hey Tod,

Thanks for your thoughtful response. Much appreciated. Please remind me of the platform for Musopia. Is it app based for a phone or website as well?

Cheers

I use Justin’s app on my iPhone… I just went to the App Store & searched, purchased & downloaded… easy peasy. I think there’s a link to it on the website but don’t remember exactly where. Maybe @FannyJustinGuitar could help you out. She’s been hosting the Onboarding Club which really helps new Justinians with the app & website. Check out her Club channel.

Oh…I was confused when you said Musopia thinking it was a different app. When, in fact it is just Justin’s app. Yeah I know the Justin App has a 30% offf on the app now for Black Friday.

So Maya,
I am curious what/how you came to love BossaNova? My wife & I are Classic/Old movie lovers… there are quite a few movies from the 40s & 50s that have a Bossa Nova number while say Cary Grant is dancing with his leading lady… I love the feel of the rhythm… Samba has a similar vibe to me. What brought you to admire this style of music?

Tod

I’m Portuguese and really love this style of guitar playing and the way it soothes my soul.

Just to throw in my 5c… the discovery of JG app was a game changer for me. Through lessons I learned a lot of stuff, chords and how to change between them… but the real pleasure comes from playing or playing along and that is exactly what this app brings. It tells you what to strumm and when and also the lyrics for quite a lot of songs. And you can even play along with the band and vocals… For me it oppened the world of starting to play and sing songs. Without it I would still be wasting time searching for my favourite songs videos with beginner chords on YT… The app - a game changer for me when I was starting out :+1: :+1: :+1:

I also agree, at 62 I’m never going to be onstage out there and upfront. I live on a 10acre block on the top of a range of hills with a view of the sea and want to just sit back with a bottle on my days off and play along with my favorite bands and forget about life and the world. The app allows me to do this. Money well spent and worth every bit. Enjoy!
