Justin guitar google chrome

Hey I am having a problem with justinguitar.com and that is none of the videos are working when I try to play them in google chrome.
Can someone tell me what the problem is?

I tried playing two random videos on Chrome (I am on Android) and everything works fine for me.

Do you get any error messages? Are the videos playing when you use other browsers?

Yes on other browsers just not on google chrome
And no, no error messages just “oops try and play on youtube kids”.

That’s unusual, no such issues here. Not an IT-expert, but have you tried clearing browsing history, site data, and cookies, and tried again?

I think the issue is on your side.

Have you tried pressing F12 and check the console for errors? Sometimes specific errors pop-up that concern (local) security or configuration

There should be a option somewhere in the settings to check if any extensions or browser plug-ins are enabled that could be blocking media content. I’ve copied and pasted the below from elsewhere as I don’t use Chrome myself…

  1. Open the Google Chrome web browser.
  2. Click the menu button. This is the three-dot icon in the top-right corner of your browser window.
  3. Next, hover your mouse over More Tools. You will see a pop-up menu appear.
  4. Then select Extensions.

If there are any there, you could try disabling everything and see if that works, and then re-enable them one at a time until it stops working - then at least you’ll have a culprit…

Beyond this, perhaps try road testing a different browser to see if that works? Personally I use Waterfox.

I agree with @LievenDV .

Probably 80%+ of the people using the site are using Google Chrome with no reports of issues other than yours.

you might want to try a couple of other things before clearing cookies - doing so will sign you out of most sites, which may or may not be a problem depending whether you’ve set up a password manager or not.

  1. turn the computer off and then back on again - obvious, I know, but clears 90% of problems and you didn’t explicitly say you’d tried it. If a restart doesn’t work…

  2. clear the cache. Go to the 3 dot menu and select “more tools >clear browsing data”. That will present you with a dialogue with tickboxes. Select “cached imaged and files”

If those don’t work, then try the more drastic remedies suggested higher up in the thread.

Good Luck :grinning:

Thanks everyone! It is still not working but I will just use microsoft. :+1: :+1: :+1:

I would check any extensions you have, and disable them all to see if it helps.

Cheers,

Extensions?

Browser extensions.

In Chrome, select the three dots “hamburger” icon to the right of the address bar, then in the drop-down menu you will see the “Extensions” item:

Select this and there’s a sub-menu “Manage Extension” which will take you to a page where you can see all of the browser extensions you have loaded, if any, and can disable or delete them.

I don’t have any extensions but thanks for the advice anyway!

One way to figure out if it’s a weird caching or extension issue is trying to run it in an incognito window. CTRL + SHIFT + N, if it works then do what others have suggested and clear your cache, if not then there’s something else going on.
