When using the app do you go completely through each module before doing the practice routine for that module?
For example, on Module 1, do you go through all the exercises and videos on module 1 before beginning the module 1 practice routine?
Start immediately, and increase what you do with each module or stage you enter.
So dont stop practicing mode 1 just because you’re in module 5

Thanks for the reply. My question is within a module. For instance Grade #1, Module #1, has sub items, in this case: Essentials, The D Chord, The A Chord, Changing Chords, Playing songs. Then listed blow that is Module 1 Practice Routine. Do I complete all the sub items before starting the Module 1 Practice Routine?
Yes, you do, as the practice routine incorporates all items of module 1. Mind you, don’t let this stop you from practicing after each lesson what you’ve seen there, even if it’s just to make sure you understood everything.
My personal suggestion is: watch all the videos in the module, and after each video you can start the corresponding exercise immediately (not before, of course). Whether you can do them all in one day or need several days to complete your practice routine depends on your time and attention span. Then practise the practice routine of this module for days and weeks until you reach the goal of the module and watch the videos again from time to time. In any case, it is important to repeat the videos several times, as you will not remember all the details the first time you watch them and will pay more attention to other details after practising a few times.
Sage advice. I’m beginning Grade 2. In Grade 1 it was fairly easy to go through a given module and straight to the practice for that module. However, Module 8 is much longer, thus I’m unable to complete the module in a day. Your method makes sense. Just have to keep in mind that you may not have completed the module and thus, will not be prepared to do some of the practice items. Thanks.
The way I do it: (your mileage may vary)
I always have a “current” practice routine, and a set of practice songs that I’m learning/improving. As I go through a new module, it may take me two or three evenings to go through each lesson on a module, specially because I will pause and “experiment” with whatever that lessons is covering, if applicable. Then, once I reach the end of the lessons for the module, I stop and rework my practice routine in order to incorporate all the little things from this module, and drop the activities from the previous one (assuming they were acceptably mastered and/or I’m ready to move on)
This way, in the time it takes me to go through a given module’s lessons I’m still running my “old” practice routine from the prior module, and once I complete the lessons, I start anew.
That’s how I do it, at least. And if it makes a difference, I do it from the website, I use the app mainly for the karaoke feature, not for the lessons - started that way and since progress is not shared between site and app, makes more sense to keep it in one place.
