Hi,
I’ve been using the Justinguitar app on and off over the past couple of years. When I first installed it on my iPhone, it worked flawlessly. However, I’ve recently started using it again and noticed significant performance issues.
The app now takes a long time to load, often stalling at 53% before eventually starting. Once loaded, it generally works, but it sometimes becomes unresponsive or displays the loading spinner for extended periods.
I’ve already tried the usual troubleshooting steps:
- Deleted and reinstalled the app
- Cleared the cache
- Verified my internet connection (full fibre with excellent speed)
- Ensured my phone’s software is up to date
- Confirmed there’s plenty of free storage space
Despite these efforts, the issue persists. I’d appreciate any guidance or support you can offer to help resolve this.
Thanks,
Andrew Newman
Hi Andrew, it is frustrating. I had the same problem, but it asked me to update, and after that, it was fine. Hope you get sorted soon, and welcome to the community, it is great to meet you cheers HEC
@MusopiaApps Mine has suddenly stopped working on the one minute chord changes. Doesn’t hear my chords. Worked last week now nothing. Funny thing is the tuner in the app works fine so I know its not the mike. Profile - MusopiaApps - JustinGuitar Community
I had update that changed the format from what I originally had. I really liked the new version bc you had the option to change what was shown on the screen , for example to have the strumming pattern on the screen rather than the chord diagram. The strumming pattern would also show which direction to strum with the chords by highlighting the arrows. That was super helpful when learning new songs. Now I had another update and it’s back to the original version that I had, and no showing the strum on the screen while playing a song.
I had this exact same issue! Have you changed Broadband providers or had a new router installed recently? Mine was down to this and needing to turn IPv6 off (it reverts back to IPv4 which is plenty secure enough) on my new Vodafone home router, the moment I did everything was fixed. You could also test the theory and check if the app runs better on the mobile network vs your home WiFi. Hope this fixes it for you as well.
Helllllllooooooo musopia!!! @MusopiaApps
