Justins Jam Tracks & Module 13

I don’t want to assume that these will be usefull but, can I use any of the Blues Jam tracks (Maj) to fit with module 13 , 12 bar Blues A, E and G. Just for strumming rythem and timing.

Thanks

Rachel.

Hi Rachel, I suggest you use a jam track that matches the blues you are practicing, eg a track in G when you play a blues in G. The chords you play in G would clash with a Blues in another key - while you can ignore that for now and only care about the rhythm and timing, I think playing the right key will help to develop your ear, and understanding of blues music.

Hiya, thanks for the reply.

That is what im asking about, of course i would only play a matching Scale lol. The point sorry, was can i use any of the matching tracks to go with the modules.

I listened to the vids and justin mentioned “varients”. Hence why i said i dont want to assume i could use ALL G tracks when playing his G blues.

I guess really, could there be some jam tracks in the same key that might not work.?

Rachel.

Ahh, got it now, lol. There are variants of the blues progression - “standard”, quick change, 5415 or 5511 in the last four bars etc. It’s best to match them up - the accompanying PDF explains the chord progression for each track - but it won’t be too bad if you aren’t strict about it.
