Hi everyone! I can’t believe it’s been over 15 years since I started learning with Justin’s lessons. I’ve not posted in a good while - lots has happened in life. I’m in a much better place financially and emotionally and for that I’m most grateful. I’ve been able to pick up some new gear but haven’t had a chance to experiment much until now. Keep rocking, everyone! (I hope I’m sharing the link properly lol).
Robert, it is wonderful to see and hear you again. It has indeed been quite some time. I’m so happy to know that life is on the up and the wind is carrying you along once more. A lovely step out of the jazz side and into the folk finger style. A heart-warming performance. Bravo.
Well Roy, I’m sure glad to decided to come back, that was awesome. What a great sounding vocal and beautiful picking, you did that song some serious justice mate, look forward to seeing more of it.
Only thing to say about that performance is that it was close enough to the original to be a moving (emotionally) song for the listener. Just like the original.
Just played you for my wife too. She’s hard to please. She said your playing of that song gave her goose bumps.
I assure you, that’s a really big win!
Wonderful to hear from you again, Robert. So pleased to hear things are going well for you. And well do I recall your fabulous jazz recordings. Your Landslide is every bit as good and sounding great with the new setup.
Welcome back, Rob
It’s been a while alright, and if I recall correctly, the last time was after a bit of a hiatus as well…
I’m so glad you are in a good place and sharing music again.
You obviously haven’t lost any of your playing/vocal chops whilst AWOL
Did you keep your sticker-covered guitar?
I really liked that one
Great to see you again. One of the most novel performers in the community…
Robert.c.1984, when are you going pro? I knew from the very first note that you were going to fly with this song. Great, fantastic, superb job with this. Your voice exceptionally complemented your playing. You sounded great, looked extremely relaxed, and if you made a CD, I’d buy it. You have a very pleasing voice. Keep up the excellent work, and by all means, do post more videos of you playing and singing.
Super job!
I’m a fellow fingerpicker (wannabe). I’ve checked out this songs pattern. It differs slightly from say The Boxer or Dust In The Wind. It his slight change has thrown me a bit. My fingers wanna go back to the other pattern.
But I want to tackle Landslide soon.
Your rendition here is really quite good. Technically and sound quality, both guitar and vocals. Nice job!
