Loop & impro based on sweet home Alabama

Hi there
my first post on this community.
I’m following justin’s lessons and, as advised, I’m practicing regularly with a looper to try improvisation. (Also because I don’t have any jam buddy yet)
I know it’s far away from being perfect but anyway.

Feel free to comment and good day

Ha! That’s exactly how I practice, too. A chord progression in a loop (a cover or my own), then improvising to my heart’s content  I consider it a great way to learn, especially when you make those chord progressions more and more complicated.

Oh, and welcome to the community. Have fun!
I wish you successes and satisfaction of your playing.

Really nice job Ludo! SHA for some reason is a really difficult progression to jam over I find, but you’re sounding great.

Thanks!!
I like this way of practicing even I’d prefer to jam with real buddy

Thanks @twistor59 for your comment.
I was finding the riff a bit difficult before understanding I have to really keep the strumming on my right hand, including during hammer on/pull off

Nicely done! Keeping rhythm through all those changes sounds great. (I didn’t dwell on the sour note because you kept up the rhythm and it made that note add to the feel. Inm tend to get hung up on those and torpedo myself…)

Thanks for sharing, and welcome aboard!

Nice noodlin Lubo
You’re right there with the tune for sure.

One step closer to doing the whole tune perhaps?
fwiw, I’m trying to do a whole tune right now. So far, I’m between 3-4 weeks in, likely hundreds of try’s. I still don’t have a song yet. It’s hard to do.

Nice video too btw. And the tones of your guitars is real good. Looks like your plugged in. What are you plugged into?
I liked the way you switched pups during the lead parts. Cool. I don’t do that to much. I think I should take note from your video.

I hear ya on not finding a jam buddy too. Man, I been looking for 1.5 years now. Still no success. It’s a darn bummer.

Thanks for the share!
Good work.

Hi Ludo and welcome to the Community.
What a great way to introduce yourself.
I’m sure a lot of people will be watching and wondering how - what you’re doing.

Kudos and good vibes for sharing a looper and improv recording - a really great way to improve your rhythm and your lead guitar.

@luludodo Maybe "sour is too strong a word…

1st time you hit 15th fret the first passage snags a bit. For me that would turn into a do-over, but you just kept it moving. I need to work a lot more on that aspect of playing.

I didn’t mean to cast aspersions so much as let you know that I was impressed with the flow and how you kept rhythm amd timing together where I have a tendency to get derailed.

Again, Very Well Done!

Well that boss gt 1 sounded real good on this end. I’m impressed with your tone.

I hesitate on commenting on me as this is your thread, not mine. But since you ask I will comply.

Take a listen on the www to Badfinger, Baby Blue.
It seems like a simple song, but, like many songs, it has many nuances that seem to be elusive to me.
I find the song interesting in that I’m having to learn some new ways. New ways of playing chords that I’d not considered before. Learning new ways help keep me motivated.

Welcome to the Community, Ludo.

Thoroughly enjoyed that. Sounded great to me.

I suggest you take a moment and introduce yourself, sharing a little personal background, guitar history and goals at JustinGuitar; you can do it here Introduce yourself ...

Minor point, are you lefthanded? I only ask because I find some folk are righthanded and not aware of the mirror setting on a phone camera. Not serious, a minor detail

Hi
thanks. Introduction has been made
And yes I’m right handed. I’ll pay attention next time

No worries on that minor detail. Thanks for the introduction!
