Hello, I have just started playing guitar again after thirty yeaars. I’d love to understand strum pattern #3, but I can’t really get it :frowning: Maybe somebody can write it down for me and/or play and count it very slowly?

Go to 7:58 Of the video
Go to the settings icon at the bottom right (the wheel) and go to …playback speed… and enjoy the “drunken :smile:” justin voice …Have fun and welcome here :sunglasses:

Thanks, I wiil try! Right now I’m busy enough trying to do a downstroke in the “and” after 1 in the pattern #2. I will slow down and work on that, I might be hurryng too much :wink:

I didn’t know it was possible to slow the video, very handy for that third strumming pattern. I’m an older player as well, first time. I picked this one as it seems easy to do. I’m only up to 25 chord changes per minute, slower is better for me if I want to do this accurately. I’m finding the narrow neck of an electric guitar (I have a smaller Les Paul style of guitar) is a bit challenging to get precise string pressure but I’m getting there.
