I hope all is well with you and yours. It has been a bit since we did a project and this one took some time. This combines a cover of Shawn Mullins Lullaby with a trip I took to the Arctic. Just an amazing place and if you ever get a chance to go, you will be glad you did.
This production was done with Leo, who lives in St. Petersburg Russia. He played excellent acoustic guitar on this and mixed the song. I pitched in on vox.
Great job LBro and @crocodile1. Love the guitar and fine vocal. Visiting the arctic looks like it would be a treat. Just unlikely to ever happen from down here at the southern tip of Africa.
Good job to the both of you! Great singing, playing and incredible video. I bet that trip was amazing. Did you get in one of those ocean rafts? I would feel tiny and vulnerable in that environment! But also amazed.

Wow, I thought most knew this song as it took over the charts for a while in the 90’s! It was pretty much a one hit wonder back then. Shawn is coming to our city in a couple month’s to a small combo dinner/show venue. I am tempted to go and take it all in. But as such, though he had a couple other songs, nothing was as huge a hit as this one.

Thanks for the view and comments! The deal for you would be Antarctica! The difference between the two is that there is almost not animal life in the Arctic. While in Antarctica, it is abundant. Just a short hop for you via plane. The ship we went on was called the Venture and is operated by Seabourn. It is expensive, but going to the extreme ends of the earth are tough to get to as well.

It was a “cool” adventure going up to the Artic. It was summer time there and we got off the plane to a nice little snow storm. The adventure to the Arctic is something I will always remember, as it was so unique. Thanks on your take of this production, we worked hard to make this happen and it took a long time.

I have been on more trips than I care to imagine, but this one topped them all. Yes I got on a Zodiac and they are very stable. You have to hang on though as you sit on top of the sidewall. However, this adventure came at a cost to the body. When I cam out of the Zodiac I hit the ice and it felt like a sprained ankle. I shook it off and was ok. 2 days later at the airport I felt a “pop” in my left foot and could not walk. I tore 3 tendons. It has been over a year of trying to recover. That treatment failed, so I have surgery lined up soon. All in all though, I would be tempted to do it again as it was such a wonderful experience!

Thanks for dropping this one off. I had a listen and I guess I see why you were a bit shocked at our Lullaby version, as this one is a long ways from that. I never heard this, so it was good to expand my music universe! It kind of reminded me of a good horror show! LOL
