The Pattern E shape is the first Pattern. On a pdf I have it is the 4th tonality shape.
What is the correct one.

Essentially, whichever one is called the 1st or 4th or whatever, is arbitrary. It may differ among teachers.

Having said that, the more logical order of CAGED is EDCAG, as that is how it logically presents itself on the fretboard.

I think its more important to see, and associate the CAGED name, with the shape, and by extension, the scale, chord, triad, arpeggio etc.
