Muting unwanted string noise and muting accidental string sounds from picking / strumming is a fine art that requires careful micro-adjustments and coordination between fretting hand and picking / strumming hand. Be patient with it.
The only issue I am having is with the third grip at the top of the neck as my fingers are short and it is difficult to play without muting one of the strings. Still working on finding a solution.
