I am thoroughly enjoying the Solo Blues Course! The inclusion of Match My Sound is a game changer for me. I find it much easier to use as a learning tool with the realistic sound than many of the other tab services that use an electronic emulation of instruments.
Is this, or will this learning aid be incorporated in other offerings? Will it someday be available for the subscribed tabs?
What do you find the most useful in it ?
Do you use it as a tab player just like the Guitar Pro files ? Or do you often use the recording and feedback features ?
Iβm asking because Iβm curious, as I have the solo blues course, but did not put the MMS software into my practice routine yet. Still using Guitar Pro. Maybe Iβm missing something out ![]()
I think it is solely available with Solo Blues and if there is a plan to extend beyond that, Iβm not aware of it.

Hey, Mathieu.
For me the most useful bit is the relative simplicity when compared to other tab apps such as Guitar Pro and Ultimate Guitar. As I mentioned, I prefer hearing an actual guitar playing the notes rather than a midi player that sounds like a cheap harpsichord to my ears.
I have not utilized the recording and playback analysis functions of MMS yet. I am waiting to get the tune up to full speed with few to no mistakes. Should occur in the next week.
Give it a go. Just click on the βPlayβ link under the lesson video. Choose a bpm and play along. Let us know what you think.
Great
Thanks for sharing !
Thanks, Richard. I would imagine there is more involved on the preparation end for Justin and the team to cue up a tune with MMS.
Do you know how the soundtrack is produced? Is Justin or someone actually inputting the guitar sound?
Kudos to the group that makes MMS happen!
I thoroughly enjoy utilizing the app and look forward to my practice with it
