I am excited to start sharing my learning log with you all. For a long time, I felt stuck in my guitar journey, but thanks to Justin Guitar, I’m finally making progress. In this log, I will post updates for each module, including the lesson number, what I learned, how I learned it, and the challenges I faced along the way. Module two
Here’s something you can share:
Excited to Share My Guitar Progress – Module Two!
Hey everyone! I’ve just completed Module Two of my guitar learning journey. I now know three chords, a riff, and the mechanics of playing—like how to hold a pick and strum properly. It’s been a fun challenge, and I’d love to hear your thoughts!
Check out my video
where I showcase what I’ve learned so far. Feel free to share any tips, feedback, or encouragement—I’d really appreciate it!
Let’s keep growing together as a community!

“I just learned the Em chord, and honestly, it wasn’t as difficult as I expected! Excited to keep progressing.”
Mati, it is a good idea to make a learning log. You will be able to look back and see your progress. Yamaha makes good guitars, so you should enjoy playing on this guitar for a long time if it is well set up.
My apologies for causing confusion. When I say “set up”, I mean that the guitar technician at the factory or in the store where you bought the guitar adjusts the guitar so that the strings are at the right height so that it is not too hard to play. The height of the strings can be adjusted by the thickness of the nut at the end of the neck and the height of the bridge on the guitar. If the strings are too high they can be hard to press down and if the strings are too low they can buzz against the frets.
Hi Mati and welcome. As stated above, a learning log is a great place to track your progress. It helps a lot if you hit a point where you feel you are stuck. You can review your log to see how far you have come as encouragement to push forward. I look forward to updates.
Hello everyone
If anyone is watching my video know that im struggling little more because of family issues and I don’t have any kind of support but one thing makes me feel good that im doing something . It’s all possible because of Justin sir:blush:so here’s my module 4 practice:) i have struggled 1 week with Dm chord , finger stretche exercise is owsm, also Sunshine of your love riff andd our strumming pattern but I enjoyed alot . Sometimes after 3 weeks of practicing same things I feel bored doing the same stuff but it will be worth it
Here’s my progress for module four
Slow and steady wins the day Mati. If I have said it once I said it many many times.
It’s a marathon not a sprint. just keep chipping away day by day week by week.
Those that rush or look for short cuts, crash and burn. So said Confucius in his first guitar course ! Well maybe he would have done.
Hey everyone! I just uploaded my progress video for Module 5. In this one, I’ve been working on the C chord, some strumming variations, a riff, and playing with dynamics. Although I’ve had a few mentally tough days due to my environment, I’ve kept practicing consistently. I’d really appreciate it if you could check out the video, give any feedback, and help me spot any mistakes I might have missed. I’ll be uploading my Module 6 progress soon as well, so let’s stay connected and keep growing together! Here’s the link: [ https://youtu.be/JzotfWAQcJI?si=haU-uetCQ-qdiwJa]
Mati, you can be really proud of your progress. Sounded good, you are placing your fingers close to the frets, which is really nice.
The strumming variations were good and smooth and it was easy to hear, what you wanted to demonstrate. Impressive how you kept your arm resp. hand moving in time when you strummed on beat 1 only.
The riff sounded good. Your fingers seemed to be very disciplined and seemed to know where to go.
Maybe just a small piece of advice: You might want to consider getting a thicker pick for playing riffs resp. picking individual strings. The white pick, you have now, is a bit too flexible. It will bend or give in too easily and will not allow you to achieve a consistent sound.
Thank you so much! Your kind words and detailed feedback really mean a lot to me. I’m happy to hear that the strumming and riff came across well — I’ve been putting in consistent effort despite some rough days, so this encouragement feels great.
I really appreciate the tip about the pick! I hadn’t thought much about it, but it makes total sense — I’ll definitely try using a thicker one for better control and tone.
Looking forward to diving into Modules 6 and 7 with the same energy. Thanks again for staying connected and supportive!
