Thanks Gordon. I could listen to early Fleetwoid Mac all day, everyday. What a great fellow guitarist Peter had beside him in Danny Kirwan; a master guitarist in his own right. And both of them so young. Just incredible.
Really appreciate the listen and the kind words. Hope all is well mate.
Much appreciate the listen, and the kind words David.
My exaltation of Peter Green is of course, a very personal thing. What his music and his playing has given me simply stands alone in its impact.
And yes, what other magic we may have witnessed had his life not unfolded as it did; Germany, some young nouveau rebel elite, and copious amounts of LSD. It was vever going to end well; but inevitable I think.
Hope all is well with you my friend. You’ve been a big of my journey.
Thanks Shane. I don’t know much at all about blues music but that sounded fantastic. It looks complicated to play and as you said, a slow time signature is difficult. I particularly liked the solo that you did right in the middle of the video. To both play and sing that must be really challenging. You have a really nice tone from that tele too. Love it.
Thanks for the listen and the kind words Ian.
Pretty happy with it, particularly as it does present some challenges.
And yeah. I love my Tele, and the tones possible from the awesome S-Gear Amp Suite.
Whoa Shane you excelled yourself ! Was certainly not expecting the vox but guess that mic was a clue That was superbly played despite the claimed flubbs and to have sung it as well. Pressure, what pressure. All very well done.
Pre commercial Fleetwood has always been one of my favourite bands and PG pretty much comes a close second to Rory but boy its crowded in my top 10 and can change on a whim or a listen !
That was stunning. As you mentioned, Fleetwood Mac with Peter and Danny was just sublime… I blub like a baby just thinking about some of his work, let alone listening to it.
You nailed it…
Yes Peter and Danny were just perfectly matched, and produced something very special together. So sad they both had such tragic lives. Seems unfair for two such gentle souls.
