I 'm pretty sure i haven’t posted playing for a while , time goes so fast. However, still working on playing, singing, and using the tech I have.
So anyway, couple of days ago I was playing around just noodling really and enjoying myself and it turned into playing/recording (I do this a lot so I can critique my sound) a selection of songs, just a verse and chorus of each, along with adding a couple of intro/outro comments for laugh .
So,why not post it up for you lot to have a look at, if you have 10 mins to spare, sit back, grab a coffee and enjoy (well, hopefully anyway )

What am I doing watching an Aussie ‘meddling’, when I’m supposed to be finishing packing to fly to Berlin this afternoon? (Off to see Johnny Dowd play on Sunday and dEUS in Paris on the way home )
Good stuff, Craig! Edit:I can’t remember- is that a harmoniser you’re using, or did you go back and overdub? Either way: nice!
Well played/sung/performed throughout.
It’s funny- I can’t stop myself from mentally singing along with Gompie’s proper chorus of Who the **** is Alice?
This has the feeling of a ‘dry run’ for an actual open mic.
You are now prepared.
Do you have one lined up?
Last thing: I would add a list of all the songs you’re playing (perhaps even with a timestamp?) Ten minutes is a long time to ask anyone to view a video in this low-attention media world we live in. Lots will scroll on by
Kudos to you, mate, and keep on rockin’
Now where’s my passport?
That was an awesome medley. I haven’t heard the one about Alice in years. Great song, well done too. I could hear the harmony. Saw something about TC Harmony-Nux in the wording. Did you record over yourself for the harmony?
Thanks for listening guys, appreciate it. I’ll end up doing full versions of some with backing etc or maybe as a colab or something, not sure yet.
Defintely not, I’d be surprised if I’m ever confident enough or consider myself good enough to step up at an open mic but the thought of it gives me purpose
Thanks for spending 10 valuable minutes of your busy schedule listening to me hope your trip goes well.
yes it has that effect, and even though I didnt sing the obvious part it was going through my head as I was recording it
Hi Jim, no. I was using a Tc Helicon Harmony Singer pedal and switching the harmonies live.
Hi Brian
It is a great song, thanks for listening.
If someone is playing and singing in my bar or eat-cafe, I will clap my hand hard and offer you drinks until you are full (after playing of course…play first )
Take a deep bow for this performance, I also bow to you
Thanks a lot for sharing your Medley Fun Craig…it is most enjoyable to listen to! Given that both your playing and singing are just beautiful…also your ability to use your tech is really amazing to me.
You can entertain people with a full set; do you have “enough full songs” in your catalog as well?
sound/tone
I like the harmony but tone them down just a little? your lead vocal is good enough to be in the limelight idem guitar tone, it osudns great and the chorus is a tiny bit too much.
@brianlarsen yeah “who the *** is Alice” was popular in Belgium too and the song is forver broken
Thank you heaps Lieven for having a listen and for the great feedback and tips
I have quite a few songs, aound 45, but they are a mixture of my Campfire songs and Learner songs.
Great tips thank you. I made a rookie mistake of not making a note of my settings but I will be concious in future to dial down the vocal harmony and guitar chorus a little. Thanks again
