It is a Yamaha FGX830C in Natural.
I wanted a cutaway and also an Electro/acoustic, not that I had any plans to plug it in but didn’t want to close off that opportunity. Not sure what all the twiddle nobs do but no doubt have fun finding out when I eventually plug it in.
I had done my research and narrowed it down and went into local guitar shop but they didn’t have it in stock, sold the last one they had last month, nor had they any on order but I tried a guitar that was very similar, and really liked it.
Did a bit of a search around on the internet and not everyone had them in stock so eventually got it sent from Yamaha’s London ‘Flagship’ Shop as they call it.
Happy Birthday Michael! No better way to celebrate it than a new guitar, eh? I also acquired a new Yamaha electro-acoustic on my birthday earlier this month. I hope you’re as happy with yours as I am with mine!
I haven’t plugged it into a real amp. I have used an analogue to digital interface to connect it to GarageBand on my iPad. You can get all sorts of effects that way.
