Missing Modules in Intermediate Grade 4

Just had a look at Grade 4 and there seems to be a number of modules missing. The ‘about this course’ notes the following modules:

but Technique, Groove Study and Transcribing are missing.

Could someone point me in the direction of these missing modules.

Thanks for raising this discrepancy Stuart.
I know that the team are always thankful for being alerted to errors / bugs / fixes needed so thay can put them right or at least put them on a long to-do list and make an appropriate announcement.

I know Justin wants to devote time to the intermediate courses this coming year now that the all-consuming work on Blues Immersion is mostly done.
I will pass this on to the team.
Thanks
Richard

@Richard_close2u Thanks for coming back to me but these modules must have been missing for months if not longer.

So in the mean time do I just forget the Technique, Groove Study and Transcribing modules? If not can you point me in the direction of something I can use instead?

Hi, Stuart, if you scroll down in the description of the course (Grade 4 essential modules), you will find link to the lessons that can be used for technique and transcribing. The links are in orange. For the groove study, I assumed that it was really missing and that the rhythm maestro and the blues guitar studies modules could work in the mean time.

Technique

First, but not the most important! You should work on 3 exercises that you need the most, or have a few and work through them over a few days (my Pick n Mix approach.)

Ear Training & Transcribing

  • 5 mins - Transcribing Course - work on songs as suggested - often better done in a longer session. I recommend 30 minutes, once a week.
  • 5 mins - Playing a melody from your musical imagination!

You can choose to spend your time just working out songs you love. But don’t skip it - working out music by ear is a big deal on many levels. It’ll significantly improve your musicianship!

Also, if you run out of technique to try, it would make sense to pick one that you need for your favorite playing style in this more general section Technique Study. And once you finish Transcribing 1, there is always transcribing 2.
