I did not watch it live. I jumped into it right now… in all respect its really hard to watch due to quality. I can see this is not just one time problem when Justin is doing streams.
Do you know what is problem about this? Did you try to solve it? Or is it just on my side.
For example talk about that with Lieven or someone? I think Lieven is pretty good tech guy and maybe he could know about solution.
If I can help you anyhow with this… more screens or some data, I am openned for that.
Even that audio does not sound that good how it is when Justin has some not live video and I am sure he has technics for that.

IN regards to modes: is there any difference between “playing modes” and “playing the changes”??
Is modal playing simply just targeted chord tones of the chord progression rather than just wandering around inside of the Parent major scale aimlesslessly?

No, they are entirely different things.
'Modal playing" is a variation in sound from the major/minor harmonies our ears are more familiar with; entailing different types of scales, chord relationships , and chord progressions.
“Playing the changes” is basically about focusing on the chords themselves - entailing chord tone targetting, triads, arpeggios etc - as opposed to simply playing in key.
Both the above are massive topics.
