Musopia 30% off offer

Just checked with musopia and the latest offer of 30%off FOREVER is for new customers only and those that are already subscribed or have subscribed in the past are ineligible. So effectively those that have been supporting Justin guitar all this time just got a 30% kick in the guts and get to keep paying more than those along side them.
I could understand if it was a one off discount for joining or even the first year, it helps attract business, but on an ongoing basis all it does is create a "pissed off " feeling among established support. Don’t know how the rest of you feel but it just got right up my nose and doesn’t smell good. Rant over.

Hi @Towerguy, you have of course every right to feel this way. Personally, I don’t mind too much. It is very common practice to limit offers to new subscribers. But most importantly, the app is indeed a very valuable tool, especially the play along feature, but mostly in the beginner stages of this journey. For this reason, quite a big number of subscribers don’t renew their subscription after one or two years. I stopped mine after a year.

It doesn’t give me that feeling at all
I enjoy all the free stuff we get (most of the JG content)
I purchase some products (eg. theory course)
I make occasional donations (not nearly as much as I should )
It really doesn’t bother me if Justin decides to give some people a reduced rate for something, or even free for that matter.

If you buy a guitar and it goes on sale a week later, say 30% off, do you feel betrayed by the retailer, given that you’re a loyal customer?

Hey @Towerguy

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, and I totally get where you’re coming from. It can definitely feel frustrating when long-time supporters don’t receive the same deal as new customers. I’ll be sure to pass this feedback along to the team to ensure we’re considering everyone’s loyalty in future offers.

While I can’t offer the same discount at this time, perhaps there’s something else I can do to make it right for you? Feel free to send me a private message and I’ll do my best to help.

Cheers,
Fanny
