BrianLarsen - Thank you kind sir Brian! Donāt stop the verbal jousting, Iāve the skin of a Rhino and slopey shoulders and never take anything as personal. A bit of banter and a blague keeps the world spinning and us all sane. Cheers big man. 8)
DarrellW - Cheers Darrell. But I am just an old geezer trying learn a bit more each day. 8)
Adi_mrok - Thank you Adrian. Itās you young whipper snappers that keep me on my toes and wanting to learn more, play more, play better. Thank you for being here. Havenāt a scooby what I want to get out of the lesson. Iāll need to have a good think, as there is so much I need help on. But when it is done I will report back. 8)
sairfingers - Gordon thank you so much! Iāll try to follow your advice but no promises. Anyway, good to see you making fine progress and inspiring others with your recent improās. Always good to see and listen. 8)
batwoman - Maggie thank you so much for your kind words. And thank you for the many times you have admonished me for putting myself down and helping to establish some self belief. And a huge thank you on the singing front, sharing the DYV course was such a help, once I decided it was possible to sing and play. Following in yours and Davidās footsteps on that course has made such a difference to my vocal confidence. So I am so grateful for you tipping me the wink, as they say. Always a pleasure. 8)
stitch - Hope you enjoyed that time lag beer my good friend, it was well deserved. What can I say, the yellow box man who opened up the fretboard for me and helped me to see so much Iād thought was hidden. Your help, assistance and friendship has been invaluable since day one and I am honoured to have spent this time with you. Maybe one day weāll have that beer too
Tom_B - Tom only too glad to have been some help. After 17 years of falling down potholes, manholes and ditches, Iāve only ever wanted to help folk avoid those same pitfalls. Some tough love at times but by passing on where I went wrong, so many times and help cement all the stuff I have learnt here, I can only hope it benefits others who follow. Thank you for your appreciation. 8)
DavidP ā David. Thank you my good friend. This only ever works in a warm friendly environment, where people go out of the way to be helpful and accommodating. You sir, epitomise those traits every day in the relatively short time you have been here. Without the likes of your good self my contributions would be meaningless.
CT - and the same here, just love your laid back SoCal attitude in your music always a pleasure! Hey, got me on the Mustard Geezer bit as well but Iāve been out of the ācountryā for 10 years now. Geezer is a bloke, chap etc. There are Diamond Geezers, who are those salt of the earth good guys and Mustard can infer something or someone who is hot. Guess it makes me the Bloke On Fire (yeah right) cue albumā¦Wish You Were Here 8)
Kasper- Me neither Kasper! Hey what can I say you have been a constant inspiration to me since you arrived here. You make the hard look easy and your musicianship is a pleasure to behold. Hope the gig went well but I am sure the band knocked it out the park. 8)
R.F.W. - Thank you sir, appreciate the congrats. 8)
RodC - Cheers Rod many thanks for that. 8)
Richard - Just wanted to say a huge thanks for your support, guidance and friendship over the years. You and Lieven work your socks off to keep this boat on an even keel and that is testament to the forumās success. Your desire to impart your knowledge and the way it is presented, makes it a pleasure to want to learn, what could be seen as the boring side of the guitar/music lark. But your delivery makes it so enticing you itch for more and it makes it stick - well at least for me (for now!). Really appreciate the wonderful tomes you have shared with us this year, it has really helped me see things in a different light, understood why some songs are āshapedā in particular ways, plus given me the appetite to revisit dormant projects. Canāt thank you enough. I am sure if Iād still been in Wakefield weād have got together for a brew and a jam by now but hey, right here is the next best thing!
pkboo3 - Thank you Pam, really appreciate the congrats ! 8)
Majik - And thank you Keith. I have learnt so much from the words of wisdom you have imparted here, you are a font of tremendous knowledge and a talented musician. An inspiration to the like of me. 8)
Rossco01 - Jason my man! What a journey itās been since those early days, what 8 years back ! You my friend have been equally supportive, not only to me but the whole community. You are another example, like Hollywood, who shows what is possible learning here. Yes itās been an interesting year and I feel happy with the singing now but as you have said yourself, tried to keep it simple on the playing side. Hoping to change that next year and while I donāt expect to be warbling while churning out solo type melodies, I am hoping to integrate some fingerstyle, as it will open up a whole section of songs on my to learn list. So I guess that means the Madmanās Diaries are still open and more chapters will follow. All the best with Retrospective. Think you now have a great line up as a three piece and turning out some epic performances. Keep sharing your adventures.
Sgtcolon - Stefan - just be careful who you tell when you admit to knowing me ! Thanks for the thanks.
Rwoodlin - Robert - Thank you my man, yes I have compiled a compendium of āHow not to do ā¦ā. Seriously, I appreciate you watching listening and learning (?) and your comments. Plenty more to come I assure you.
Kevin - Thanks for that Kevin it is much appreciated.
Tony - Cool Tony and thanks. 8)
