As I’ve explained in another comment, while I do use this method and find it effective, it is simply not acceptable to advertise a paid feature on an app and then not deliver for months on end. I have found posts with this same issue going back to last year (!). Users shouldn’t be guilted into “going around it” because “way back we didn’t have this”. If people are being advertised a product that works a certain way, then it should work as described, especially if it’s paywalled.
I think you’re misinterpretting the point of the post, no one is being guilted. What I mean’t was that for whatever reason they can’t get it to work reliably then they would be better providing something that will work reliably until they are certain that they have a reliable solution. As you said this has been going on for a year now.
In that case my apologies, i misunderstood - and completely agree!
Thank you all for the comments. We released a fix in early November that resolved the issue for most users, but it seems the problem is still occurring on some devices, mostly tablets. Our development team is currently looking into the issue. We’ll share an update as soon as we have more information.
Any update @MusopiaApps ?
@MusopiaApps I see there was another update in the last few days, but it didn’t fix anything, actually its worse. My ipad has never worked but my iphone worked sporadically. Now the iphone is dead in the water as well.
@FannyJustinGuitar please can you follow-up with Musopia. Been a couple of posts since their last reply . . .
Thanks very much

Perhaps people all off on Christmas break, Raymond. We should come back and nudge again in the new year. Appreciate that isn’t a great response, but can’t offer more myself.
Sorry for the delay in getting back to this, and thanks so much for your patience.
Unfortunately, this issue isn’t fully resolved yet. The Musopia team is still actively working on it, as it’s proving more complex than expected.
If you’re still unhappy or would like to speak with me directly, please feel free to reach out at fanny@justinguitar.com. While we don’t have direct control over their bug-fix deployments, I’m happy to look into other ways we can make up for the frustration.
For the fastest contact with the app team, please use Send Feedback in the app — this provides their team with the technical details needed to investigate properly.
Cheers,
Fanny
Can I just say, when items in paid content don’t work I get it is super annoying, it’s also not that big of a deal.
The aim of The App, is to learn to play songs, lots of lol…
The main website tools are capable of doing a similar job shown in the pic I attached, and works well until this issue is resolved. It’s a workaround , admittedly not great but a solution none the less.
There are Timers and tempo’s to follow and you can enter how many change you managed (no cheating now lol)
Keep calm and carry on ! ![]()

Thanks so much, Fanny, appreciate the support!!
Where do we enter or chords on this? Cant figure it out.
The webste is data entry only, its not an app the you can play into. You enter what you want to do like OMC and count yourself and enter what you managed.
Looks a little like this Chart OMC’s
At what point do we start looking for a new (capable) software developer? 24 months and they still not even close is ridiculous
Hey! Just reporting this announcement from Musopia - it seems they might have found a fix
for tablets? Musopia fixed OMC chord detection issues on tablets
