Finally had the nerve to record myself…got my old Telecaster and my Fender Bass out and used a BOSS looper to record, lead, rhythm and very simple bass part covering Soul Man- sorry no horns…I play saxophone but my skills are way gone. Nice. You have managed to capture that classic Memphis Stax studio reverb sound. The rhythm is pretty difficult to keep consistent, but you did well and the transitions verses sounded sweet. This is something I would like to try to record someday, so thanks for the cover of this song.

Decided to try one more cover…1st take on George Harrison’s While my guitar gently weeps… just finger style on my Telecaster… no bass.

A good rendition, keeping steady tempo. Playing it a liitle slower may allow space for some more changes in the dynamics. The recording is poor though - sounds like you’re in a cave! Well played.

The cave was created by my Fender Twin Reverb amp left at my normal settings! Maybe should have changed them before recording and posting! :slight_smile:

LOL…me too! I was playing accoustic Bob Dylan in my dorm basement coffee houses in 1967…time passes by so quickly.
