My first Guitar Video

Dear Community,
I’d rather post something flawless and great, but as it’s asked to post a video before you can join an Open Mic, and I want to take the step some time soon, here it is…
Some of you may recognize it or even practice the same thing, are you?

Hi Dominique ,
Congratulations on your first video  :sunglasses:, that’s a big thing, but I read your ambitions are big, so trust is in order with you… it was fun to see and listen to… :sunglasses:

Yes, I recognized this one, I was just playing it :flushed: before I was allowed to use the computer again …so quite a strange experience (I share the computer with my wife today and tomorrow)…

Ps:nice to see an appreciation of an old song of mine, I really appreciate it, thank you :sunglasses:

Greetings,Rogier

That was great! Unaccompanied blues is as hard as it gets, and you did a terrific job. Congratulations on your first post!

Super first post, Dominique.
It takes good skill to make something sound simple … :sunglasses:
Lovely fingerpicking and your tempo was just right to solo this classic blues song.
Well played, indeed …

What a nice video-debut, Dominique!

Recording and posting the first time is always the hardest, so good you mastered that milestone early. From here on, it will be a little easier each time.

That was a nice blues, great groove and well played. I’m looking forward for more and your future OM-performance!

PS: Thanks for the good wishes in your introduction-post and the kind comments on Zitronenfalter. I really appreciate it.

Thank you every one for the friendly comments!
That was the first take I was happy with, although a few flaws here and there.

I imagined most here saw the announcement some time ago at the top of the page about the new “MatchMySound” Feature and the accompanying lesson(s). Maybe most didn’t?

I just play what Justin taught in the lesson there “Boom Bass with Licks”. Sorry that I didn’t state this beforehand. If some of you thought that the playing came from my intuition, I’ll have to make up for it and post something from myself in the near future.

Thanks a lot for stopping by!
Dominique

Hi Rogier, I wonder which ambitions you mean? I’m definitely not planning to become a superstar :grinning: Maybe jamming with you one day could be an ambition!

Cheers, Dominique

Not easy to make anything sound good with just guitar and no backing track. You did excellent job, congratulations on your first upload. I look forward to listening your music at open mic.

Yes, of course, now I understand!
If I want to sing, I admit I’ll have to find the right song and practce more. Or if I decide not to sing, it’ll better be not just strumming a few chords, uhm. And I think I would want to present something I didnt post here as a video until the event?
But I stll have some time to practice until then and find the right piece for presentation… hopefully

All the best, Dominique

Thanks once more for all the nice words!
I already knew it’s a friendly community, but all the positive comments are so nice to read and very encouraging if you otherwise just play for yourself and don’t get any positive feedback elsewhere!
(I know I should change this)
