My first video - Wish You Were Here Practice

@Rider2040 Oh yes Rob I hear you! I find that Justin’s method helps keep me focused, otherwise I run off down rabbit holes of musical distraction and find myself lost and overwhelmed.

Keep being amazed, proud and pleased with yourself and your progress and keep the fires of curiosity and desire to learn burning bright. This way the shadows of discouragement and overwhelm won’t have so much opportunity to swallow you up.

Here’s a gold star for you :star2:

Nicely played, Rob, and congratulations on your first upload.

As far as feedback, I agree that changing to a hammer-on will sound better. Your timing was pretty good, but got a bit more ragged towards the end. I know you’re already aware of both those things, so just keep working at it and you’ll get this polished up in no time. Well done!

Great debut Rob, that was solid throughout, you have obviously worked at it and that shows.
Love playing this and good to see so many folk having a go with it here. Sound advice offered in previous responses so nothing to add apart from, next?

Thanks for the encouragement!

@TheMadman_tobyjenner

I’ve been working on hammer ons and timing and I’m hoping to record a “progress update” video in the next week or so.

Welcome with your 1st post!

You have the look of very concentrated determination! Indeed it must have served you well as this is really nice. I like your pick control and not looking at it. That is hard for me to do. Your performance smells of a lot of hard work and practice. Do keep it up as you are on a good trajectory!

All the rock’n best,
LB
