My New Rhythm - original

Hi,
Actually, the rhythm of this song is nothing new, but I just called it that since it’s different from what I usually play
Recording this song I focused on the phrasing to make the main melody line more clear and sounding more like a real song. Surely there are some sequences where I just improvised. I played the solo on my HB SC Custom III P90 for its ‘ringing’ sound that stands out over the BT. I made it rather short not to become boring. I hope you’ll like it.

An excellent composition: very evocative; I had visions of the Cote d’Azur. Loved it!

I like this! Very nice rhythm and great phrasing!
Just had a song on the table with mostly the same chords (or those I chose to use for my version) and played some rhythm guitar along for a long part of the song. (Wasn’t immediately sure about all the chords)
So I could sort of join you for a jam

Well done! Nicely melodic. I think a more well defined pause or two at points would be a good idea, but that is mostly a nit. Hats off all the way around and special thanks for keeping things short and to the point. If we can’t say something musically in a minute or so we may need to rethink what we are trying to say. Play on playa!

@Mustela @beejay56 @domi7 @CT Thanks so much, friends! I feel really honored by your kind comments, very encouraging!
Clint - as you see I gave your remarks under my previous recording a serious consideration while planning this song. I’m glad it worked. This is clear evidence why it is so important to present the music one makes for assessment of unbiased listeners; their insight is typically much more objective than the author’s who may be just bewitched with the sound he obtained and liked. And there are many more components to any musical composition…

Doney - you really don’t need to feel that way. Please remember that I’ve been playing since I was a teenager (and I’m 72 now), and more seriously (like doing some gigs with a band) since 1990, and that’s 35 years! Still, there are a huge number of guitarists I look up to, and I know I’ll never have the skills they do, while I’m sure you still have a lot of time to learn and become as proficient as you want to be.
I’m very grateful for your kind words of appreciation. Keep playing and have fun; after all, that’s the most important thing in our passion.

Good on you for having the right frame of mind! Often times I am slow to offer input as it can be taken the wrong way if not received with the right mindset. Typically I don’t waste my time too much with players that don’t at least have decent chops going in, and who make no attempt at being original.

Keep at it, and keep finding your own voice on the instrument! I see good things ahead for you in your journey.
