Who doesn’t love a 4 letter acronym?
This amp in a pedal purchase was supposed to wait until later in the summer. But Guitar Guitar had a 2nd hand one for about ÂŁ150 less than the list price. It found its way to my music room over the weekend.
I was going to put it on my pedal board, but that would have meant buying a new power supply, or losing the reverb pedal (the simplifier has good sounding reverbs built in). I think for a while though it will sit on top of the keyboard amp and go into its effects loop. I’ll introduce it to the rest of the pedal board once I’ve got used to it.
I’ve played with it for about an hour so far and am liking it. Up until now I’ve been playing through my bass amp in a pedal (which works pretty well), but it’s good to have a guitar amp.

Oh yeah, its got lots of knobs and stuff so it must be really good.
But seriously. I bet that can do a lot of cool stuff. I am sure its going to take some time to figure it all out. Very cool my friend. Cant wait to see a post about all the cool stuff you find out about it.

For the win!
Congrats on your new pedal amp.
Just listened to a quick review of it on line. Sounds real good. Sounds like a amp. Which just amazes me really. I got combos that take up a fair amount of space + the lightest one is 28lbs, which I can move. My heaviest one is 48lbs which I don’t move period.
Your new amp looks like it’d near fit inside a guitar case and ya wouldn’t even know it there weight wise. Maybe not that small, but looks pretty close. Perhaps it’d fit in a soft guitar bag instead of a case?
The review of this pedal amp was very good. Sounds like it has lots of control over what you want your amp to sound like. Hope it really fits your needs and that you really dig playing it.
Congratulation on your NAPD.

I had a quick skim through each of the voicings on each channel. After that i decided to spend a bit more time with the Vox voicing on the lower gain side. I pretty much stuck with the settings the manual suggests for “AC Jangle”. I had a bit less resonance (think bass control in the power amp emulation) and a bit less reverb.
With the single coils on my PRS 24-08 custom SE, it sounds sweet, both strumming and finger style. I’m no ones idea of a good guitar player, so if it’s helping me to sound good, then I’d say it’s good.
In case anyone is interested, here is a photo of where the knobs ended up.
The Marshall on the high gain side with the bridge humbucker solo’d also sounded good, but I haven’t spent much time on that channel yet.
I’m shedding for a bass gig in a month’s time (10 new songs to learn), so the Simplifier will be a bit of a side project.
