Post nightshift attempt at Hendrix Style rhythm with fills and embellishments. Not really practiced this specifically for a while so was quite shocked when it came together. (missed beat 1 of the first Bm so technically added a beat in the first bar, but the rest was pretty good).
I guess my work practicing triads and lead is paying off. Chord shapes are grabbed quickly now, especially the full C shape barre which I find awkward most of the time
Had a bit of a hiatus on the video front due to unfortunate circumstances.
But on a positive note, played at my first jam night and bought a bass guitar and have spent a couple of weeks learning things on that, great fun.
Manged to get some audio recordings done recently whilst playing around in my DAW.
Here is a very rough draft of a Blues demo riff idea. Itâs right on the edge of my muting ability so is pretty messy. Also really needs a vocal and central theme to be fleshed out into a working song idea, doubt Iâll be providing my own voice for vocals but you never know

Created what I thought was a catchy riff thing using G Dorian. Pity about the lead improv. Tried not to play blues but realised I have no real speed or repertoire with 3 notes per string stuff so find it very slow and cumbersome. Good fun though and I like the rhythm part!
Traded in my Epiphone 335 and Vintage strat for this Gretsch 5420t. Really wanted something with a Bigsby and some character. Loving it these first couple of days
Another blues improv update. Not happy with the improv, feel like when red light fever hits I play the same old stuff. Time to learn some new licks and some new ways of playing over a blues, it all feels very stale now
The âsame old stuffâ can sometimes be a pleasant listen. You will go off in other directions when the time comes. Meantime youâre playing is in time and a good complement to the backing track.
