Justin doesn’t focus on rock so don’t get your hopes up. An Intermediate App following on from the current G1-3 app makes sense. Move web lessons to an app, entice folks from other platforms, simples.
Guessing a G4,5,6 app or part thereof will be included.

I didn’t mean it on app, I meant overall that would be cool. But you are right, it was mentioned before and there was no indication it might happen. :slightly_smiling_face:

We received 2 scoops from Justin in the music theory live class yesterday.

  • The new app will be about music theory. Musopia will use their app/game expertise to make it more fun and engaging.
  • Justin is definitely considering a Rock Immersion course as a follow-up from BLIM. He might do it next year, but he also has another BLIM-like project in the oven, so it’s not sure. The good news is that it’s on the radar so there is hope

Would be awesome to get a rock course as comprehensive as BLIM.

Ah ah ! I feel like you’ll have time. In my dreams, the rock immersion would be ready for summer 2026. But, Justin is really busy so we might have to wait longer. :guitar:

I could work with those timescales. Another 18 months or so and perhaps I’m no longer working full-time and then I might have the time to properly devote to it - as well as having another 18 months to raise the level of my playing

Oh, I’ll have to watch that class you were talking about! Missing too many live classes lately!

Next year would be awesome, but that wouldn’t match with him stating in the interview you linked above when he said he spent something like four years to build the Blim course. But who knows…

Would it be RIM then?

I guess so haha ! Love the enthusiasm ! Now that you have found the acronym, I guess it’s official. Where can we put our deposit ? :dollar_banknote:

A few nights without sleep and a few Red Bull energy drinks ? It might go faster this time

Haha!
We could send Justin a box of those and…
open a thread… “We want RIM, we want RIM” and everyone shouts along

Just awesome! Rock standards, medleys/licks, harmonic analysis of legendary solos, rhythm…:heart_eyes::heart_eyes: We need to lobby hard for this to happen sooner than later!

Yes :slightly_smiling_face: I’m confident that the more he sees the community getting excited about it, the more motivated he’ll be to jump in and work on it :slightly_smiling_face:

Do the BLIM courses become available to eveyone to watch eventually? I can’t commit to a course that is scheduled but I could follow it after the fact on my own time. Would be the same for a rock immersion and I’d really feel like I were missing out.

No it’s always behind a paywall. You do have lifetime access to the content once you’ve enrolled.

So I could wait til after the course is over, pay the fee, and then do the course on my own time?

I haven’t done the course myself, but I have checked out all the info on it. You need to enroll at the start of the course, but you can then take as long as you want to do it. Check out the recent stream Justin did where he goes into details.
