New app for advanced beginners and intermediate players

Scoop ! You might have seen that quote from the last newsletter :open_mouth:

Something Big… And… drumroll please… 🥁 We’re preparing to launch a totally new app with the Musopia crew—and it’s a real game changer for more advanced beginners and intermediate players. Beta testing starts soon, and we can’t wait to get it to you!

That sounds really cool . As someone who used the beginner app for my first 2 years of playing to practice songs, I’m definitely curious to see what you’ve cooked up for intermediate players.

A game changer for intermediate players”? Now you’ve got me really wondering @MusopiaApps!

I’m ready for the beta testing ! The software engineer in me loves to find those nasty programming bugs.

I used Justin’s app as well for the first 8 months almost every day. It was great help to me. I think apps are great help for beginners, especially this play along types.
I am very curious to see now what kind of app they designed for intermediates.

I’ve used the beta for the song playing (at least I think that’s what I did: a little window gave me an option to try it out).

A bit better, some minor bugs–as expected with a beta.

It didn’t feel game changing to me,
but it was only the Karaoke player I tried, and I am still in the beginner cohort

I will be interested to see what it involves but if it is more complicated karaoke version of songs, not sure if it would be of interest.
But will keep an open mind till it appears.

Presumably this will be an app for phone or tablet. Would be good if it ran on PC as well.

What is the current cost for new subscribers to the current JG app?

A 12 month JG App gift card is $ 99,99.

So it’s 100 a year. Wonder what the cost of the new app will be. I can’t subscribe to both.

But hey - I expect the new app to bring me leaps forward in no time or I’ll be really disappointed!
Maybe it will even replace practicing?

PS. Ah yes, thank you, Mathieu!

:man_detective: Detective Mathieu reporting.

This reminds me of an interview I spotted on Instagram — NAMM show, Justin meets the Guitar Pro crew. :movie_camera:

At the end, the interviewer drops the classic line: “So, what’s new this year on JustinGuitar?”
Justin casually reveals he’s cooking up new intermediate modules for different styles : rock, reggae, fingerstyle — with custom play-along tracks for each. :guitar::eyes:

 Could this be connected to that mysterious new app we keep hearing about?

:face_with_monocle::exploding_head::rofl: I’m not saying it is… but I’m definitely not ruling it out.

Rock style lessons would be rad. And not just like soft rock or classic rock. More 90’s and 2000’s, and modern hard rock and maybe even some light metal songs would be fun.

Definitely ! I’d love to explore different music genres.
