New BLIMer rejoining Justin Guitar community after 15 years in the desert (metaphorically speaking :) )

I learned guitar from Justin back in the day, when we used to order DVDs to be delivered in the mail. Life happened, and the guitar ended up in the attic until about 18 months ago; I have been at it pretty diligently since then. Really looking forward to BLIM… made a video to record where I am starting at going in to the course. if you’ve done the Pickup Music Blues Course, then you will recognize this as a horrible hack job of Bb slow blues solo at the end of the course, which I have transposed into A for BLIM and adjusted to the backing track.

P.S. Which desert? Sahara? Gobi? Kalahari? Maybe the Mohave?
I’m in Albuquerque, which is considered ‘high desert’ climate… dry most of the year & between 5000’ & 6000’ high.

ha, sorry I meant “in the desert” in the metaphorical way, as in, away from learning and a supportive community. Glad to be back!

I am up in Alexandria Virginia, just outside of DC. Used to live (and love living) in CO, but you have to go where the work is sometimes. It is actually pretty nice here in September…
