Just wanted to share something really cool that happened recently—something that still feels a bit surreal.
As part of the BLIM course, I’ve been blown away not just by the incredible teaching and music, but by the community here. Someone from the BLIM class—who wanted to stay totally anonymous—sponsored a guitar for me! I found out through Fanny at JustinGuitar, who helped set everything up with my dad. With some extra help from relatives, I was able to pick out a Fender Suona Stratocaster from Alamo Music in San Antonio, TX. None of this would have happened without the generous donation from anonymous.
I actually got the guitar on my 13th birthday, which made it even more special.
I’ve already sent my thanks to the sponsor privately through the team (along with a short thank-you video), but I wanted to say a public thanks here too. It was such a generous and awesome thing to do—and it really meant a lot. This is something I’ll never forget. It’s pushed me to keep practicing and improving, and I hope one day I can pass on that kind of kindness to someone else.
Also, big thanks to Fanny, Richard, Justin and everyone at JustinGuitar for helping make this happen. This is such a cool community, and I’m stoked to be part of it.
What a wonderful gift and the knowledge that this Community is all about support and engagement. May you have many years of happy playing in the years to come.
Hi Cruz,
What a fantastic story , and congratulations on your 13th birthday and may this be the start of another long stream of passing on good things…
Thats so rad, like @Boris1565 said, seeing you rip it up on the acoustic was great, but I knew you would do well with a electric when you got one also.
I was stoked that you got hooked up. You have worked hard and earned it. Keep it up.
What a wonderful story! I love your post and how you set up a warm thank you video for the sponsor
13y and into the BLIM course? That’s awesome! It seems to me you are a very mature and undertaking person, especially for your age. You’re destined to do great things for sure! Never feel shy to ask advice to those you trust around you and JAM THAT GUITAR BRO
Thank you parents, relatives, sponsors and our very own Fanny to make this all happen!
