New here - Walter from New Jersey, USA

Hey guys, 43 here and finally sticking with learning guitar. I tried when I was a kid, but my parents made it impossible. Justin is an amazing teacher. He makes guitar very approachable for me, and all the amazing tools for free. I don’t mind spending the money on the extras just to show my thanks.

My dad gave me his 68 Gibson, then took it back without me knowing, and just found out 6 years after he passed he sold it. It stinks, but it motivates me at the same time. I been learning about 5 weeks, and I just started practicing in module 8 in grade 2. I started ear training and music theory as well, and just realized all the song books he has!

I ended up buying myself a epiphone Les Paul prophecy, and picked up a used Yamaha FG-401. The cool part is my oldest son 16, took an interest and I got him started on the website. It’s is cool swapping information.i also have my cousins two sons that are huge into guitar and they are motivating me. I feel like I am at a time where things are clicking.

I have radial nerve damage that forced me to get a tendon transfer surgery just to have use of my hand, my fretting hand. So if I can do it, so can you!

Hello Walter. You’re surrounded by musicians and gaining a whole lot of inspiration it seems. Great stuff.

That is plenty to be going on with. It is a vast community space so if you need help as you find your way around just ask.
