NGD - as in New Gear Day

So today I received a small and a big package, and these were the new “toys” hidden inside:

  • Epiphone 940-E519 hard case for my eagerly-awaited Epiphone Casino (available in March, hopefully) – it even has a key :key:
  • Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 3rd Gen USB audio interface - inspired by all the valuable info shared in this thread: Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 Studio
  • Shure PGA81 cardioid condenser instrument microphone (15ft / 4.57m XLR cable included)
  • König & Meyer 25900-300-55 microphone stand – it weighs almost the same as the hard case :open_mouth:

And the replacement for the faulty 12 string capo mentioned in my Learning Log is on its way, too.

I have somewhat conflicting feelings at the moment. On the one hand, it’s all a huge extension of my guitar gear and a bit intimidating, like doing a Neil Armstrong all of a sudden. On the other hand, it’s bound to be a whole lot of fun using them (I hope)

Exciting times Jozsef.

There is hours upon hours of fun to be had there and plenty of brains to be picked on here.

I’m looking forward to seeing the new guitar as well.

Enjoy!

Excellent extension of your gear. I’m sure it’s going to be worth the wait for the casino. Not long now.

@Jozsef Jozsef what an EXCITING parcel of goodies. I’m glad you’ve given yourself these gifts. I understand it can feel intimidating, but knowing how methodical and purposeful you are in your study and learning habits, I have no doubt you’ll manage and master them and then another world opens up for you and yes you’ll have even more fun.
