I donāt have a thread about thisā¦ thatās a great idea - since itās your idea, you should create one!!! Maybe a pic of the guitar with itās name & why that name was chosen!!!
As far as my other guitars, some have names & others donāt. I havenāt really given the āWhy/ Why Notā much consideration, actuallyā¦ maybe I should contemplate this!
One that you may find amusing is my Seagull Artist. Itās name is āMine!āā¦ if you ever saw the Pixar film āFinding Nemoāā¦ the seagulls are all saying āmine, mine, mine!!!ā

Well Tod, that is a beautiful present. Itās a great guitar. You must have some discipline. It would have killed me to see that Epiphone box standing there unopened. I would have peaked.
I thought my GAS was well and truly cured. Iām very happy with my guitars. But then I decided to watch some videos on YT of the recent NAM show and now I have a new list. Fell in love with a new Reverend guitar, showed it to my Wife and she immediately said ābuy itā. I havenāt bought it but GAS is a curious thing.
How did she know to buy you that particular guitar when you said you wanted a pedal board? I guess she knows you well.

She knows me very wellā¦ she also knows how to look at my Wishlist!
I have a few guitars on the list that are way too costly to actually purchaseā¦ guitars like my dream Duesenberg or a Gretsch White Falcon! Itās not in the budget to drop $4000 or more for a new instrument! It costs nothing to pretend that theyāre on the list because theyāre my next new six-string!!! Iāve actually checked almost all of the boxes for gear nowā¦ time to just buckle down & become a better playerā¦ give the guitars the attention they deserve & make āem sing!!!

By the wayā¦ if you have the means & the desire, make the purchase - get the Reverend! I waffled over making purchases in the past only to have the guitar end up discontinued & unavailable! Go for it!!!

Wow, Iām clearly doing things wrong. I should obviously make a Wishlist and make it very obvious how to access it!
I guess itās a good strategy to put a few really impossibly expensive guitars on the list and then one ācheaperā one that you actually hope to get. Then, next to the expensive ones, it looks like a bargain, right! 
Well itās very new so Iām figuring it will be around for a while yet. But this sentence says it all ā¦
Iāve got 2 nice Squier Teleās (both cheap, but very nice to play) and 2 higher spec S-types with very different pickups (one SSS and one HSS) and TBH with the Strats as I progress with dynamics of strumming and picking Iām starting to get different tones out of them, so like you, I think its a case of āgiving them the attention they deserve and make them singā rather than getting new gear right now, even if the Reverend hit the GAS button in my mind.
However, I donāt have an HH guitar or one with P90ās ā¦ yet!

It sounds good to me - but then I donāt sound anything like Chuck Berry, either!!! Iām still in Justinās Grade 3ā¦ maybe after Iāve completed Grade 27 or so I might give āol Chuck a run for his money playing Sweet Little Sixteen or Maybellene!
Guitar lore claims the Mr. Berry was buried with a Gibson ES-355!
