So, I’ve not been about for a bit, as work has been exceptionally worky. And also we bought a campervan late last year, which we’ve been trying to maximise use of through the summer meaning weekends have generally been spent away from WiFi and mobile data…
But anyway, my wife treated me to a new guitar for my birthday in April, which we finally got around to actually buying in August (did I mention we’ve been a bit busy!?).
It’s a Dowina with parlour body to complement my Fender dreadnought:
I’m getting time to play it a bit and having a parlour body it’s much easier to fit into the van, so hopefully I’ll manage to get a video with it at some point!
The full-scale neck and 46 mm nut make it very easy to switch between with my other acoustic.
What a beautiful guitar! I was just on the Dowina website last week! They look amazing… but how do they sound? I’m in the United States & I don’t think they have a dealer in the country… looking forward to hearing yours!!!
Good luck & keep it FUN!!!
It sounds great, I am lucky that I live only a short distance (30 minutes’ drive) from Richard’s Guitars n the UK, so I was able to go along and try a few different guitars out
@CATMAN62 there is a Dowina dealer here in Denver, so there may be others. Check their website, they may have a dealer locator. Or ask them. I once asked a question and the took a while but got back to me with a detailed answer. They seem very nice.
Lovely guitar Iain!! I like the Dowina brand. I don’t own one, but have considered it. I also like small guitars, i don’t own a parlor, but have 00, the next size up.
