Did you have the Daddario strings on it? Mine hat some crap Chinese strings on…
The first thing I did with mine was put decent strings on it (Elixir) and threw away the extra set of strings that came with it. I must confess that I rarely play it though, because the somewhat narrower nut width (yes, I know if doesn’t have a nut, being a “zero-fret” design, but I don’t know what else to call the measurement I’m talking about) makes it a little awkward for me to play.
Oh the narrow nut was one of the thing that made me get it - identical to my electric guitars.
And narrower than my other guitars.
A new set of strings is the very first thing I do with a new guitar regardless of what ships with it.
