I bought a Fender CD140sce acoustic from Thomann Germany. It plays well, all mahogany and a clear, bright sound. I’m happy
Nice one! Congrats.
One question though: it’s ok “out of the box”? No need for a setup? Stringheight etc is to your liking, or did you specify that upon purchase?

greetings
This guitar looks great, I hope it sounds just as good and you’ll have a lot of fun playing it.
Did it out of the box. Checked the neck and strinheight at the 12th fret it is ok for me. The distance at the nut between the strings and the nut is perfect for me to, so it is my own experience and not that from the factory specs.
The only thing I found are a view frets at the high e side and the edges of the nut being a bit sharp but that is something I can fix myself.
Looks great and from the good reviews should play and sound great as well. Time to get fingerpicking.
If you are not familiar with it I find the Acoustic Guitar magazine very informative with good features issued quarterly. Usually 4 songs to learn each issue in different styles Blues, Country, Folk, Bluesgrass, Slide etc, technical lessons/tips and some music theory, and usually video to the songs/lessons, it is also online, and not too expensive if you subscribe.
Other magazines are available
.
Thanks, yes, it sounds great for a “budget” guitar. I am retired or a Martin or Taylor guitar are too expensive for me. Wemt from electric to acoustic and started learning fingerpicking the “hard” way by learning Never going back, it’s such a lovely song to be able to play. I almost get the chordgrips without muting strings. The fingerpicking part is not so difficult for me, play the piano so fingers are used to do independed moves. For more acoustic info I’ll look into the magazine you suggested.
Happy NGD!! The guitar looks great!

They sound great and look nice. Neck is not too thick almost a strat neck. I’m a happy person.
