Hi Paul .
Happy NGD  :sunglasses:
Beautiful guitar, and I see that color often the last weeks :sunglasses:, my wife recently said that she also thinks it’s a beautiful color and why I don`t have that , now I’m just looking for one that is lighter than 2.5 kg.

I wish you a lot of time together,

Greetings

Niiice! … Been on a Strat kick for the last few weeks … Poor LP isn’t getting a look in. Loving the glassy tones :ok_hand:

Happy NGD! I have a Squier and it makes me want a proper Strat so bad!

Funny thing about this color. I initially told myself “no way” to any guitars in that color. But the more I look at guitars, the more I think that burst is so classic for rock, that now if I were to buy a Strat I don’t think I could have one in any other color.

haha I was very much the same! I wanted either a blue one, just cos I like blue) or a Gilmour style ‘black strat’

But this came up on ebay, and I got a good price. In the ‘flesh’ the colour is beautiful too

Great looking guitar, love my Strat.

Happy NGD, looks quite nice and it’s a bonus that it’s got the 2 pivot trem system, they’re much more stable than the 6 pivot ones.
Have fun with it and enjoy!

So I took her into the local shop today for them to have a look at anything needing doing as I don’t have a clue

Guy in the shop was like what the hells happened here. Someone has had a go at setting this up but it’s all over the place and pretty much unplayable

Left it with them for new strings and a proper set up haha

If you like it before, wait 'til it’s been set up properly

Yeah … A lot of people seem to feel confident doing their own setups, when their confidence far outweighs their skills. I know of one particular FB group where six out of ten people answering the OP’s question should be shot with a tranquiliser gun and carted out to sleep it off before their suggestions do any real world damage

Unless you not only know exactly what you’re doing, but also what the end result will be once you’ve done it, it’s always better left to a competent tech. Let us know how it plays when you get it back!
