I am so happy I would like to share my fresh delivery from Furch.
Capo G7th with ART (adaptive radius technology) in gold color - it feels really “heavy” and looks luxurious to me
Furch picks ranging from thinnest to thickest, great colours
Furch Pioneer ebony bridge pins
I have big plans with ebony bridge pins, because they dont produce them in way I want… I am gonna 3D draw and print mold for being able to drill into them 2mm hole on TOP and then I will put inside inlays I ordered from internet. Its mostly the visage upgrade than function, because my Pioneer already has same pins, but I ordered spare ones so I can do some “upgrades” on them.
I cant wait to try out that capo, because it should be batter than standard ones, because pressure is even on whole surface and not in some points only. It means I should not go off with tuning for example on low E and high e string.
Had a G7th for a few years now. Sorry plain black and unpimped. What I like about it, is you control the pressure when clamping on, where as most capos just spring shut with their natural spring tension. Tuning wise very reliable but with all capos, tune up after it is in position, don’t just whack it on and previously tuned guitar, even if you did it moments ago. Enjoy.
Hi Michal, I got that capo (in silver) for Christmas last year, and I love it. I also love your passion and support for Furch! I wish I could get my hands on a Little Jane to try out…they look fabulous!
@TheMadman_tobyjenner Thank you. I am already really happy with this piece. It feels so luxurious and clap on and off feels really easy.
@judi Hello Judi, great! Do you use your other capos since you got this one?
I think I wont.
Yes, Furch is great and LJ is awesome. Maybe you can find it in some local shop.
@Carreta Hi Michal, I don’t have a lot of guitar “stuff” (well, except for picks). I only have one other capo - it’s also a G7, the Newport style. I like that one as well, but find it much easier to place the Performance 3 on the neck such that the tuning is not affected. I guess that Adaptive Radius Technology is effective, at least on my guitars. I keep the Newport one in the gig bag for my “go out and play” guitar.
Regarding the Little Jane: the nearest Furch dealer to me is more than 2 hours drive away over a mountain pass, and they don’t stock the LJ. When I travel I always check to see if there a dealer nearby. So far, no luck, but I’ll keep trying!
@judi Ou, so your starting gear is on TOP level since beginning. Nice! I performed with this capo in my latest Unchained Melody topic and I love it. Soon I am gonna make some comparism for myself against other capos. I have Polytune from TC Electronic, so I can see if one string is off or not.
I tried LJ in one if my video here I compare it with Pioneer. One thing that you really need to know and expect… that LJ neck is much heavier than you know from standard guitars. And you need to learn work with that or - use strap. But its nothing bad at all, only this is noticeable.
