Congrats on the new guitar, Michal! All the effort you’ve put into your decision will surely pay off! You’ve shown so much passion for guitar playing, you definitely deserve this gem. Enjoy the new instrument and keep us informed!!
@beejay56 Thank you! They are! Its home made product - I am from Czech Republic. Just additional plus points.
@Helen0609 Hehe, you really know the struggle. Its been a journey… but its just beginning. I hope my mind will be free for few years.
I am gonna spend lot of time with her now. I just set action to OK spot and now I am doing first test. There are 12 strings and they feel like they are waxed… hard to press for me. My main is 11, so I think I will restring really soon.
First impressions are… how such a small guitar can sound so mature. Maybe a little more mature than my bigger guitar.
@Coda Thank you. And dont try to take down your latest record… its great. How am I supposed to go back to listen when you put it out?
Now that is strong argument and you cant!
Congratulations Michal!
Furch makes wonderful instruments that in turn make wonderful memories for their owners! Enjoy your new “love affair” with that beauty!
@LievenDV Of course, Lieven! I had to make this memory video of first day. Playing anything. Thank you.
This model and wood combination was my favorite since beginning, but I had really long journey to decide and “beat” other.
Having problems with higher gauge of strings, I am 11th guy and there are 12th.
@LievenDV I will try. Something just feel little weird in those strings… like they are waxed or something. Its D’Addario XS PhBr 12-53 and I am long term using Elixir Nanoweb 11-52 Custom Light.
Heh… now you have people on concert to do it for you! I saw that last post where you nailed it.
I think this is the first time I’ve typed it and my “i wish a lot of” feels completely nonsensical because it’s 100% definitely going to happen a lot …
Great choice, it’s one that if I could justify spending that much on a new guitar I would definitely be buying one!
Furch are beyond any doubt a fabulous guitar maker and their products are innovative and superb quality!
Great! I had seen your thread about this and the Little Jane…
Both sounded great anyway and I’m sure you’ll enjoy this one. I look forward to your always nice playing videos!
@domi7 Thank you very much. Right now I am spending like 3+ hours with her every day.
Sadly I found there some issues about nut string spacing, so I am now in the middle of thinking how to solve it… my high e is too close on the edge and sometimes I mute it with flesh of my hand. It needs 1mm more from edge. I checked it on my Fender and that is how I have it here.
So I openned ticket and I will see… its more like user preference and if distributor wont help me I will buy nut and do it myself.
Already changed original strings from 12 to my Elixir 11 and it feels so great. 12 are for now too much for me. I set action as low as I could without buzzing and I am just enjoying my new instrument.
Something nice that happens to me with this guitar… its all solid and I can really feel small vibrations of back to my belly while strumming something. Its different from laminated.
And of course… I am again talking more than I should. I love this guitar.
