It has been few days ago… Furch sent me an email with new exclusive Pioneer model with Alpine spruce AAA and Cocobolo.
From last event this year I knew it could happen, because cocobolo is hard to get, too expensive and has hard restriction for using.
After 10 minutes of thinking I picked up my phone and called directly to Furch. I am from Czechia and Furch is Czech product too, what a luck!
Two hours passed and I decided to buy it, the rest is history.
I dont have words for that… it looks just like everything I could ever want. The restricted and exotic cocobolo, AAA Alpine TOP, custom inlays on neck and side (I love these, always wanted them), the top neck with inlayed F logo too…
The beauty cocobolo with redish vibe with that round edge… it smells so great.
Cant offer the sound sample right now. My love is really cold from transport and my inner feelings are just jumping up and down.
Fun fact: It is Pioneer LC. I work as process technician in pharmaceutical… and the structure where I work has name Logistics Center - in short LC. I also love the serial number.
Merry Christmass to me. Sorry if this this is too much expressive, but I just wanted to share my happiness with community that I am with since day one of my journey.
You’re a sick man, Michal…
You should really think about buying shares in Furch!
However, your enthusiasm is infectious, and I am so happy your new guitar is already providing so much pleasure.
Enjoy and keep us up to date on sounds when appropriate
@brianlarsen I am really big Furch fan. Love the product of my country. And this is something special that is not mass produce.
I also made for them custom coasters. Gifted it to them few months ago in Prague on Furch event.
I will definitely try to play something asap. Now I just need to mess little with action and I will see if Dadario 12 is OK for me or not, I am using Elixir 11 all the time.
@GDPiper169 Thank you. You watched exactly LC version? Can you share, please?
@domi7 Thank you very much, Dom.
Furchs are great. It depends on your guitar preference, but Pioneer standard versions are great too! I have to find someone who will buy the ER version from me.
Great thing by Furch is they are not as big company as you might think… and every guitar goes through TOP voicing process. I think that is main reason why they all sound great. Other brands you could pick 10 guitars same model and some will be really bad.
By Furch from red series + (includes mine exclusive) has voicing for back too.
And I’m curious about that brand. I see that some Canadian retailer has it, but I wonder if the price will be much higher than in Czetch republic due to the importation fees. How much are we talking about ?
@GDPiper169 Oh yes, the Alamo Music guys! The ones that love Furch to its bones. I am watching them pretty often.
I have Furch Pioneer ER at home, this LC is just replacement for that. So I know how wonderful this guitar is. Thanks for share.
@LievenDV Thank you! It really is… I was scared it will be sold out if I wait too long.
@math07 Thank you Mat, well lets talk in numbers… but I cant say the ending numbers for USA/Canada, because there is happening too much from Trump talking about raising taxes and from my point of view it changes each day. I can see same confusion for board games too…
It is pretty different from Furch original or from Czech shop, you can save here. Also there are some special offers when the price is cut down… it could be 2-40% I think, but it depends. Many times it means it is older model with CNR or it is “used”.
I bought my Furch Pioneer ER on Thomann (great Germany shop, you all know I am sure) for 930 euros, because it was the piece in showroom.
You can compare those data to your local shops and let me know. It is gonna be pretty interesting.
@GrytPipe Thank you.
What do you mean by slits? That is new word for me.
Do you mean fret number inlays on side of neck? Or you mean the wood structure lines?
I’ve marked them on the picture. These 5 slits, openings in the side of the body. That’s what i’ve been wondering about. What’s their function?
@GrytPipe Oh, yes. That is booster soundport. Many great articles and videos about that.
They developed this for opening the sound even more. I love it, because sound from guitar also comes directly to me…
This smaller guitar could sound really big thanks to that. They also use it for dreadnoughts. I dont know that much about other brands, but I can remember some really expensive old guitar had a hole in this place too. It just works.
