Congrats and happy NGD. That looks a mighty handsome take on the double cut style.
That break angle from stop tail to bridge looks severe. Is the stop tail fixed against the body?

Yes, the stop tail is screwed directly to the wood with two screws. To tell you the truth, this is the first time I see such a solution, I would prefer metal screws screwed into sockets mounted in wood, as it is in traditional tune-o-matic bridge.

That is interesting. A good thing about the way the Guild is that when your cleaning it and got the strings off of it, at least the tail won’t fall off… :slight_smile:

Thanks, @jkahn . If you can afford to spend 30% more money I would suggest considering Kim Thail signature model. As far as I know it’s available only in Vintage White Gloss painting with golden hardware (which looks really great) but it has additional phase switch and MUCH better pickups.
