It’s been a while since I posted but thought I’d post a couple of pics of my new toy, needs a set up as action is a bit high but no biggie, I have a Bank Holliday ahead of me to play around. I had a Squier Custom P90 Tele years ago and regretted selling it, hopefully this will fill the gap.
Hi Andrew,
The guitar is really beautiful. I’ve had a lot of experience with HB guitars and they’ve never disappointed me, even though some were clearly better than others. The model you got has tons of positive reviews, so, unless it shows any construction flaws, sound-wise you should be very happy with it.
Recently I also purchased a HB guitar with P-90s, but it’s a solid-body. The pickups are modern Teslas and they sound fantastic, but there’s certainly no reason to look down on the older Roswells. P-90s have the sound of their own; no wonder we now witness a kind of renaissance of those pickups that are frequently found on truly high-end guitars (many arch-tops are equipped in P-90s).
Please let us know about your own experience playing this beauty.
That is some sweet looking wood grain. Such a nice looking color and finish job.
I bet you will have fun with that.
That looks great! Enjoy!
WOW Andrew…happy NGD

Some tweaking and I’m sure it’ll look and sound the business.
What a beauty!
Enjoy!
(HBs can withstand a fair bit of ‘tweaking’ )
Wow, she’s beautiful!
That’s rather nice, never seen an Archtop done Tele style, with P90’s that’s my idea of heaven! Must look into those……… no…….no………MUSTN’T
See that’s given me forbidden thoughts………
We wants it my preciousss
A good looking guitar, enjoy.
It’s a beauty, congratulations!
Luckily for me it doesn’t have a neck binding and fancy inlays, because my budget wouldn’t fit another Tele.
I would love to hear how that sounds. I have looked at that same guitar on Thomman. It looks fantastic. I love the tele shape with 2 f holes. Is it hollow body or semi hollow?
It will be nice if you post a follow up on how it sounds and what it feels like to play.
