NGD - Meet "Archie"

All my guitars get named, this one is Archie, the red headed cartoon character.

As discussed on a separate thread signing up for the latest BLIM and doing the prep lesson made me realize my electric guitar wasn’t up to what I wanted for this course.

Thankfully a good friend from my weekly jam group also helped with me a LOT with getting a better sound of out my existing electric guitar but I still managed to get this one as well from him.

I showed up at home with a nice bouquet of roses for my wife and she laughed and said “You bought the guitar didn’t you!!!”

Hello Archie & Welcome!!!

Just a but of advice…
you may want to have Tony buy you a stand… don’t think of it as a crutch… just a way to get him to pick you up more often than your nemesis… his favorite acoustic!!!

Tony, for you, it’s good to see you break down and get in touch with your “electric “ self!!!
Congrats on your new six~stringed buddy!!!

Happy NGD

I love the name , I read Archie’s daily comic strip every morning

nice! Beautiful guitar; let that red guitar rip up some red hot blues licks!

Hi Tony ,
Happy NGD :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

A beautiful guitar to look at , and I often say I wish you a lot of time together, but this time I am 100% sure that that will happen thanks to your BLIM :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Whishing you a great time ,Greeting

A beautiful guitar in just the right colour. Happy NGD. Have fun with BLIM and Archie.

Happy NGD Tony. Archie looks super cool!

Happy NGD Tony!
Looking forward to hearing any BLIM updates featuring Archie :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: :guitar:

Great to see! Hope you’ll get to know and like Archie better than your other electric.
Don’t want to talk you into something, but I liked to have one electric with slightly heavier strings (here 11s) on ( as I, like you also stated on the other thread, prefer to be able to feel the strings more somehow on my hands), and the other more like "standard"electric, like 9s or 10s - at least for me it was nice to practice on both and to be able to choose depending on how I felt.
But then, maybe it’s also good to just dive totally into this “different world” of fragile strings and learn to adapt to them…?

I like the bucket of roses idea… might steal it on occasion

Great looking guitar Tony!
Congratulations on your new acquisition.

I thought that was funny. There’s no fooling the wife is there? Sounds like the flowers worked too. Broke the ice with something for her too. Good idea.

Have much fun and make a lot of great music with your new instrument. It’s a beauty!

You know what this means, don’t you?
You’re now going to have to get Reggie & Jughead, not to mention Betty & Veronica…

Holy cow.
There’s one for sale up in the north east.
How did the algorithms know to drop this in my view eh!!

Better not click the blue button.

Haha Brian, that made me laugh because I automatically thought of JugHead as a name for a bass guitar. Apologies to any bass players in this thread.

You know you want it!!!

Archie currently has 10s, I’ll stick with that for the time being, they are coated strings so I shouldn’t have to change for a little while.
