Happy NGD, Dan!!!

If you haven’t already, get yourself a stand or wall hanger so that pretty girl is always handy… when you have a few spare minutes, just pick her up & strum or play a song (once you have a few in your repertoire)… I love to play scales or chord progressions while my coffee’s :coffee: brewing in the mornings! Besides, guitars are too beautiful to hide away in a case that you stash away in a closet or something!!! Keep her on display - she’s beautiful!!!

Thats a sweet looking guitar for a starter!

Interesting its a single in the bridge and neck humbucker. Can that be split?

There’s no push/pull pots and I don’t know if the middle position on the selector switch splits the humbucker.

I kind of picked it based on looks as much as anything, I had a budget and this one stuck out to me. It has a satin neck and a belly cut (dad bod) that I wanted but I don’t have any experience to apply to choosing any other features.

Hi Dan
Welcome that’s a great looking guitar, like already mentioned get a stand position the guitar where you have to pass it each day and if you’re like me you won’t be able to pass without having a quick strumm and even if you don’t it’s still nice to look at :smile:hope you enjoy your Tele

I have to share some joy i have fallen in love with a Gibson SG 2010 I just had to buy it, lads and lasses, it is arriving this weekend and I can’t wait man,

sorry i failed to say hello to all the new guys it must be the excitement so a big hello and welcome from Hec

And that is a gorgeous looking tele, has it been given a name yet :+1:

Looks very pretty. HNGD!

Hope the other half won’t mind sleeping on the couch for the next few weeks.

Thats a lovely guitar. I started Justin guitar a year and 4 months ago also with a Squier Affinity tele (also with a belly cut and a cut to make the strumming arm more comfortable). Although I have 2 other guitars now, that tele is the one that feels the most comfortable and the one I love to pick up and has a lovely satin neck.

You are going to love that tele. It’s a beautiful guitar and I’m sure it will sound great. What amp did you get?

I strongly second other people’s comments that if you have the guitar on a stand where you can easily see it and you love the look of that guitar then you will want to pick it up and play it. I look longingly at my guitar hanging on the wall before going to work, and just can’t wait to pick it up and play when I get home in the evening.

Make the most of the community here. It’s a brilliant forum with so many helpful nice people and a wealth of fantastic information and a bit of silly stuff too!!!:grin::grin:
